Attorney
Philip Land provides business leaders with practical legal advice, advice that drives and protects company revenue. As such, Philip has represented transactions with an aggregate value exceeding $2B USD. These deals include commercial transactions, M&A, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), and complex real estate development. He is a leading and creative thinker in tax credit policy and incentives, and he routinely speaks on FDI. He serves as a “fractional” General Counsel to a number of companies. Licensed in New York, Washington DC, and South Carolina, Philip’s clients reach well beyond his home state.
Prior to starting his own law firm, Philip was Shareholder at a prominent regional law firm, where he practiced for more than a decade. He was also on the staff of a United States Senator. He maintains close relationships with legislators and federal agencies in Washington, DC, which serves his clients well, when needed.
Outside of practicing law, Philip is a partner of Elgin – M&A Advisory, a middle-market acquisitions consulting company. He also enjoys the mountains, music, and spending time with his family.

Caroline is currently pursuing her Juris Doctor at the University of South Carolina School of Law and will join the firm as an Associate upon passage of the July bar. She approaches her work with a driven, detail-oriented mindset, providing thoughtful analysis and strategic support on legal matters. Prior to joining Philip Land Law Firm, Caroline clerked with both a plaintiffs’ firm and a regional law firm, where she developed strong analytical skills, an appreciation for precision, and a practical understanding of how legal strategy advances broader client objectives.
Caroline served as a student attorney under faculty supervision and remains actively involved in Mock Trial, while also holding a leadership role in Phi Delta Phi. She is engaged in the law school community through her involvement with Women in Law, the Student Bar Association, and the Student Ambassador Program. Caroline graduated magna cum laude from Wofford College with a Bachelor of Arts in Government and completed an internship in Congress. Prior to Wofford, she attended Palm Beach Atlantic University, where she competed on the women’s lacrosse team.
Outside the office, Caroline enjoys traveling, running the Swamp Rabbit Trail, and spending time with her fiancé and their two dogs.
